In the last few years a great number of restaurants, bars and cafeterias opened in the city centre of Wroclaw offering excellent quality and a good service. The restaurants listed below are only some of the ones that are worth paying a visit. Lots of the restaurants are very modern while others offer very traditional or original climate, especially those located in the converted cellars of the historical buildings. Most of the restaurants open for lunch around 12 o’clock and serve most of the dishes the whole day long. At night, most of them close around 22:00 except the restaurants in the 4 or 5 star hotels especially located around the Town Square. The majority of the restaurants display their menu in the window or in front of the restaurant. Most of the time menu can be requested in English or German.There are also cafeterias called BAR MLECZNY that exist today. In the past they were much more basic but at present, especially in the large cities, some of them are very modern. They can be easily found in the neighbourhood of the University and offer mainly good quality traditional Polish dishes at very low prices.
